Alaskan goat walking is a land of the midnight sun adventure. It's a golden nugget.

We enjoy the fun and fascination of walking with our pack goats. We're sure you'll enjoy it, too.

At Canis Caprine Kennel, we raise healthy, hearty and well-trained pack goats so we can offer safe and adventuresome goat walks in the Alaskan wilderness.

We aim to provide a unique and interesting outdoor experience that will give our guests, of all ages, memorable moments and keepsake mementos of their goat walk in the wilds of Alaska.

SECOND PANEL

Gettin' on the Pack Train

Located 15 miles south of Fairbanks near North Pole, family-owned Canis Caprine Kennel has raised award-winning dairy goats for more than 30 years.

In 2000, we started raising pack goats because we discovered that they make enjoyable and entertaining walking partners that never complain about carrying our gear.

Now we offer guided goat walks that give our guests the chance to get away from life's hurriedness. It's a gold nugget opportunity to enjoy the wilderness and the antics of goat walking.

Our as-short-as one hour or may be day-long adventures are tailored for groups of 2 to 6 hikers.

We offer our Alaskan goat walks between May - September as weather conditions permit.

THIRD PANEL

Learnin' about Goat Walkin' Sourdoughs

Canis Caprine Kennel is respected throughout Alaska for its commitment and dedication to producing award-winning dairy goats.

From birth, our goats are nurtured to produce healthy goat kids that are sold to hobby farmers, pet-lovers and 4-Hers in the area. Our does (pronounced doze) are raised to produce high quality milk, and our pack goats are trained to offer fun and fascinating goat walks.

Over the years, our goats have won numerous awards at the Tanana Valley State Fair in Fairbanks and the Alaska State Fair in Palmer.

We are also dedicated to educating adults and children alike about breeding, raising, nurturing, and walking with goats.
